Freddie Mac 
Mia Jones is an affordable lending manager on the Affordable Lending team in the Freddie Mac Single-Family Mission and Community Engagement division. She facilitates broader credit access to underserved families through strong key client relationships with lenders, real estate professionals, and other industry stakeholders, using data to promote awareness, educate industry stakeholders on business solutions, and increase utilization of Freddie Mac’s offerings to support responsible lending.  

Mia joined Freddie Mac in 2012 and has over 25 years’ experience in the mortgage industry across loan originations and loan servicing. Her focus it to improve access to credit in multicultural communities, and communities of low- and moderate-income borrowers. 

Kevin Stevens
Senior Manager, Mortgage Markets
Bureau of Consumer Financial Protection

Kevin Stevens is a Senior Manager for Mortgage Markets at the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB), where he focuses on monitoring market activities and developments in mortgage originations. Kevin joined CFPB in October 2022. Prior to CFPB, Kevin was the Acting Director for the Office of Single Program Development for the Federal Housing Administration (FHA) in the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) since August 2019 where he led the development and implementation of FHA’s origination policies. Prior to serving as acting office director, Kevin was the Director of the Home Mortgage Insurance Division within the office since 2014 and the Deputy Division Director since 2011. Kevin first joined HUD in 2008 serving in the RESPA and SAFE Act offices. Prior to his government service, Kevin began his career in the mortgage industry in 1992 holding several origination positions for different regional mortgage lenders including seven years as a Regional Manager/Account Executive with American Mortgage Express. Kevin holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from Roanoke College.

Registrations made and not cancelled by September 28, 2024, must be paid in full and are not refundable. If registration is not paid by the day of the event, or will incur a $10 late fee.

MMLA events are non-recruiting functions! Solicitation and/or distribution of employment opportunities, including net branch/net compensation plans, is prohibited. The penalty for non-compliance with this policy is immediate expulsion from the event without a refund of fees paid to MMLA related to the event.
