Invest in Yourself. Build Your Knowledge. Become a Future Leader!
Ready to take the next step in your mortgage industry career? Whether you're new to the industry or have years of experience, the MMLA Future Leaders Program is a great opportunity to expand your industry knowledge, strengthen your professional skills, and connect with peers from across the mortgage industry.
This two-day program combines educational sessions, group discussions, and hands-on activities to give participants a better understanding of the many areas of the mortgage business. Led by experienced Certified Mortgage Bankers (CMBs), the program is designed to help participants grow professionally, build confidence, and gain valuable insight they can bring back to their organizations.
Applications are due April 15, and class size is limited, so be sure to apply early!

Participants will explore a variety of topics covering the mortgage industry and professional development, including:
- Mortgage Industry Overview and Evolution
- The Life of a Mortgage Loan
- Loan Origination
- Underwriting
- Secondary Marketing and Hedging
- Loan Servicing
- Budgeting
- Compliance
- Marketing and Networking
- Public Speaking
- Leadership Development
- Professional Growth Through CMB, AMP, and MMLA Involvement
- Group Project Collaboration
Put Your Knowledge Into Practice
In addition to the educational sessions, participants will be divided into teams to work on a final group project. Each team will create a fictional mortgage company and develop a business plan outlining how their company would operate. This is a fun, collaborative way to apply what you've learned while working alongside other industry professionals.
The program will conclude with a Project Presentation and Graduation Reception on June 17. Teams will present their completed projects, and the winning team will receive a complimentary registration to the MMLA Annual Lending Conference, August 1–3 at Park Place Hotel!
Participants who successfully complete the program will also earn 10 credits toward the MBA's Certified Mortgage Banker (CMB) program requirements.
